Every great UpChat experience starts with a single bot. This guide walks you

through creating yours — from your very first sign-in to a working chatbot ready

for training. No technical skills required; if you can fill out a form, you can

do this.

Where this fits: This is Step 1 of the

Quick Start checklist. Once your bot exists, the

next step is training it.

Step 1 — Sign in to your dashboard

Head to app.upchat.io and log in with the email and

password you used at sign-up. New to UpChat? Use Sign Up to create your

account first, then come back here.

💡 Tip: If you ever forget your password, see

How do I Change my Password?

Step 2 — Start a new chatbot

When your account is brand new, the Chatbots page greets you with a

"Create Your First Chatbot" screen. Click the + Create New Chatbot button in

the center of the page.

Already have bots? You'll instead see them laid out as tiles. Use the

+ Create New Chatbot action in the top corner to add another.

Step 3 — Choose your plan

If you haven't subscribed yet, UpChat will ask you to pick a plan before your

first bot goes live. Choose the plan that fits your needs — you can change it

later — and confirm your billing details.

Pick the plan that matches your goals. You can upgrade or downgrade anytime.

💡 Tip: Not sure which plan is right? Compare options on our

Pricing page or

contact our team — we're happy to help

you choose.

Step 4 — Name and configure your bot

Give your chatbot a name that reflects where it lives or what it does — for

example, "Website Assistant" or "Front Desk Bot." This name is for your reference

inside the dashboard; your visitors won't see it. Confirm to create the bot.

Name your bot something recognizable — especially handy once you run more than one.

Step 5 — Meet your dashboard

Congratulations — your bot exists! You'll land on your bot's dashboard, your home

base for everything that comes next:

  • Bot Training — teach your bot about your business
  • Widget / Appearance — style how the bot looks on your site
  • Conversations — read chats and review captured leads
  • Install — grab the snippet to embed your bot
