Common questions
What is UpChat.io, and does it work?
UpChat.io is an AI-powered chatbot widget designed to help small and midsize businesses engage website visitors, capture leads, and provide instant support—24/7. Once installed on your site, the chatbot acts like your best employee on every page, answering questions, guiding users, and collecting key information like contact details and service needs. You can train it using your website content, documents, FAQs, and more—no coding required. With easy customization and ongoing updates, UpChat.io works in the background so you never miss an opportunity, even after hours.
What language model does UpChat.io use?
UpChat.io is powered by OpenAI, one of the most advanced and trusted large language model (LLM) platforms available today. While we leverage OpenAI’s technology to drive natural, intelligent conversations, how we structure, train, and deploy our bots is entirely unique to UpChat.io—and a bit of a trade secret. Our proprietary setup ensures faster responses, smarter interactions, and better lead quality, all fine-tuned for small and midsize businesses.
Does UpChat.io work with my CMS (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, etc.)?
Yes! UpChat.io is designed to work seamlessly with most major content management systems—including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, and more. Installation is simple: just copy and paste your unique chatbot code snippet right before the </body> tag on your site, or use Google Tag Manager for a tag-based setup. No complex integrations or developer support needed—if your CMS supports custom code or tag management, you’re good to go.
Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?
Yes! UpChat.io is a month-to-month service, so you’re never locked into a long-term contract. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan directly from your account dashboard. We believe in flexibility and transparency—no hidden fees, no hassle. Stay as long as it’s working for your business, and adjust as your needs evolve.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes! Every new UpChat.io account comes with a 14-day free trial, giving you full access to the platform to explore how our AI chatbot widget works, customize it to your brand, and see real results before committing to a paid plan. It’s a great way to experience the value of having your best employee on every page.
Can I have more than one bot?
Absolutely! With UpChat.io, you can create and manage as many bots as you need. Whether you run multiple websites, different locations, or unique service lines, each bot can be customized with its branding, responses, and data sources. It’s a flexible way to scale customer engagement while keeping every conversation relevant and on-brand.
My chatbot isn’t showing up in general—what should I do?
If your chatbot isn’t appearing on your website, don’t worry—it’s usually an easy fix. The most common reason is caching, especially if using a platform like WordPress with caching plugins or services (e.g., WP Rocket or Cloudflare). Try clearing your site’s cache and refreshing the page. If that doesn’t work, double-check that the installation code was placed correctly before the </body> tag or that your Google Tag Manager container is published. Still stuck? Submit a support ticket and we’ll help you get back on track quickly.
My chatbot isn’t showing up on WordPress—what should I do?
If you’re using WordPress and your chatbot isn’t showing up, the most common culprit is caching. Plugins like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, or LiteSpeed Cache can prevent recent changes—like your UpChat.io installation code—from appearing right away. Start by clearing your site’s cache and refreshing the page. Also check that your UpChat code is correctly placed just before the </body> tag, either directly in your theme or through a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers. If you’re using Google Tag Manager, make sure your container is published and firing on all pages. Still not seeing your bot? Submit a ticket and our team will take a look.
